Care & Warranty Information for Marble, Granite & Other Solid Surfaces
All of Majestic's cultured marble products need to be maintained with care to assure long-lasting beauty and satisfaction. Cultured marble provides an extremely durable, nonporous, stain-resistant surface. Periodic applications of paste wax or products like “Gel Gloss” will help maintain a high-gloss luster and make cleaning easier.
Cleaning recommendations for solid surfaces such as Corian and Wilsonart
Routine cleaning with a soft sponge or cloth and a non-abrasive aerosol foam cleaner is all that is required to keep your marble, granite or other solid surfaces trouble-free for many years. Harsh abrasive cleaners are not needed or recommended. Scratching or dulling of surfaces can occur from use of products such as SoftScrub®, Ajax®, Comet®, etc.
Clean stone surfaces with a few drops of neutral cleaner, stone soap or a mild liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water. Too much cleaner or soap may leave a film and cause streaks. Do not use products that contain lemon, vinegar or other acids on marble or limestone. Rinse the surface thoroughly after washing with the soap solution and dry with a soft cloth.
Occasional use of mild abrasives such as automotive polishing compound or baking soda will remove simple scratches and stains.
Dos and don'ts of stone care
Do clean up spills immediately
Use an absorbent cloth followed by FIRSTLINE Clean & Restore.
Do use trivets and cutting boards
Protect your countertops from excessive heat and wear by placing hot items on a trivet, not directly on the granite. Protect your fine cutlery by using a cutting board, not cutting directly on the granite.
Do use coasters and place mats
Your Artisan granite is an investment in your home. Like fine furniture it is to be treated with care. Protecting the surface from food and drink spills will maintain the brand-new appearance indefinitely.
Do use FIRSTLINE Clean & Restore
FIRSTLINE Clean & Restore is the best daily cleanup product available for granite. Using FIRSTLINE not only leaves your countertops beautifully clean, it also protects and enhances the original FIRSTLINE Seal and Protect application.
Don’t use non-recommended cleaners
Don’t use abrasive cleansers. Don’t use acidic cleaners.
Don’t worry
With very simple daily cleaning, and the use of trivets, cutting boards and place mats your countertops will maintain their original beauty for many years to come.

Installed countertops vs. my sample
-
Stone is a building material that will vary in color, tone, pattern, etc. These variations are expected from shipment-to-shipment and are the source of its natural beauty and distinction.
Is polished stone completely smooth?
-
No. All polished stone will have varying degrees of pits and fissures. The amount and appearance will depend on the type/amount of minerals that exist in each stone.
-
Pitting occurs naturally due to the combination of different minerals..one mineral is softer/harder than the next…the softer mineral will naturally “flake” or pit.
-
Fissures are small openings in the face of the stone. Again, this is due to the large amount of heat and pressure needed to form granite beneath the Earth’s surface. Fissures are an acceptable and naturally occurring aspect of stone.
Will my countertops have seams?
- Yes, your countertops, mantle, or other stonework will typically have seams. Majestic Marble & Glass determines seams based upon slab sizes, cabinet layout, access/maneuverability onsite, support needed, and economic material management.
- Variations in color and pattern will naturally occur across seamed areas of countertops. This is due to the variation in color and pattern seen within a single slab (and from slab-to-slab).
When can I use my new countertops?
- Please allow the sink to set for 24 hours before attaching any plumbing. This will allow the silicone applied to fully cure. If possible, please wait 1-2 hours before using the surface to allow the sealer to penetrate. It is also advised to clean the countertop surface using FIRSTLINE Clean & Restore before decorating the kitchen/returning to full use.
